In my opinion, NONE of these Congress creatures should be allowed to go home on a recess for any reason, unless and until they actually do something they were sent there to do. But as you say, this gives Trump ample opportunity to do what must be done.

So when it all comes to light that China hacked our voter rolls and Ukraine back channeled money to Biden, and the machines were programmed out of Venezuela with Chinese parts and are plugged into the internet...perhaps then Trump can invoke national security control via CISA to stop this. Valid citizenship and pho ID and restricted Mail in Voting. The SCOTUS should take care of getting ballots in by Election Day. You are correct. Senator Thune is definitely NOT helping. One aspect of his inaction is forcing the President to invoke emergency powers which inevitably leads to the Dems and the left to label him a dictator which shall be pushed to the hilt by the communistic MSM.
