Trump made some comments to Newsmax and now today Devin Nunes saying he thinks that the docs are about Russiagate. So…I’m mostly on the train. But here is what gives me pause. Casting all the facts in a light most favorable to your theory, if these documents are so damaging, why did they wait 19 months to try and get them back? The time lag does not seem to fit with the view of DOJ desperation. It does fit, however, with trying to influence an election.
Sure, everyone wants a reveal at this point. But don’t bet it will ever come. Find the right judge, which the DOJ has now threatened to do, and the entire case stays under seal. Ask Ryan Dark White (JM) about that. His case is still sealed a decade later.
