The time lag does not seem to fit with the view of DOJ desperation. It does fit, however, with trying to influence an election.
Sure, everyone wants a reveal at this point. But don’t bet it will ever come. Find the right judge, which the DOJ has now threatened to do, and the entire case stays under seal. Ask Ryan Dark White (JM) about that. His case is still sealed a decade later.
